Magali De Carvalho – MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, CWOCN

Biography

 Magali is a board-certified Faily Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Wound Care and Dermatology. She is from Brazil. Magali lived in Chicago where she worked as a wound care nurse for more than 10 years and found she had a passion for medicine. She then moved to Florida 18 months ago with her family.

Magali pursued her Masters in Nursing from Loyola University in Chicago and graduated as a Family Nurse Practitioner. During her training as a Nurse Practitioner became involved in research for over 10 years mostly in the wound care field and has over 30 peer-reviewed publications. Magali’s PhD dissertation topic discusses socio-genomics and how SDOH influence gene expression and wound healing.

Her strengths include empathy and compassion. A provider should genuinely care for patients and express understanding towards their physical and emotional wellbeing, Another strength includes knowledge and expertise. A provider should possess extensive knowledge, experience and expertise in their respective field of medicine.

Magali is currently enrolled at the University of Florida pursuing her PhD in Nursing, She is compassionate, has excellent communication skills, and she is eager to provide wound care services for patients with difficult wounds.
